The Protea Starter Packs are imported directly from a Protea farm in South Africa and distributed by Cape Flower Fields. Each pack is beautifully presented in an eco-friendly recycled envelope containing everything you need to grow indigenous South African Protea. The pack contains seeds, smoke primers and full growing instructions along with all the individual plant details. We have successfully grown Protea from these Protea Starter Packs and therefore offer this product with confidence. Although we cannot guarantee the successful germination of every seed in the Protea Starter Packs, please feel free to contact us for assistance and advice, or sign up for our FREE newsletter for tips and advise on growing Protea. We import the seed under an IMPORT PERMIT FOR PLANTS AND PLANT PRODUCTS (#37-87908) issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. Each shipment is accompanied by a PHYTOSANITARY CERTIFICATE issued by the National Department of Agriculture – Directorate Plant Health and Quality for the Republic of South Africa to ensure healthy and disease-free seed. Cape Flower Fields is an operating flower farm dedicated to the promotion and expansion of the Protea floricultural industry, and we will pass along information freely.
