FAQ's
What Bouquets do you offer?
We offer two bouquets: a large bouquet that consists of two individual arrangements (for shipping purposes - the flower heads are very heavy) as well as table arrangement bouquets that are suitable for smaller tables (very popular with restaurants).
How Many Protea blooms in a shipment?
There are 7 Protea blooms in box. Most of our clients are professional floral designers, and in the flower design business, an uneven number 'balances' an arrangement. The bouquets we send out are standard 7 mixed blooms (we only include the varieties that are blooming at the time of an order) surrounded by Cape Greens.
Do you supply a vase?
No we don't. Proteas are very heavy, and in an effort to keep the bouquets affordable - and the shipping reasonable, we do not supply a vase. Our bouquets are big, and usually require more than one vase.
What Protea varieties are in the Bouquets?
It is hard to say what varieties we will be shipping. Here's the reason: most of our customers are professional floral designers. They order Protea because they are unique and for their long vase life. Most Protea varieties last between 14 and 21 days. Now, that is a vase life in your vase and not in our cooler. So, what we pick today is shipped the next day. We refrigerate the flowers overnight to get rid of the 'field heat', and then we ship. We ship seasonal Protea blooms only.
What varieties are most popular in your Bouquets?
Worldwide, there are approximately 1,700 proteaceae varieties (not counting the hybrids from Hawaii) and we grow about 150 varieties in California. The most popular varieties we grow are the Pink Mink, Pink Ice, Rosespoon, Brenda, and various pincushions.
Do you ship King Proteas in your Bouquets?
No we don't. We grow King protea, but only in small quantities - they are too heavy to ship.

We offer two table arrangement choices: Six (6) or Eighteen (18) Designer Grade Protea Table Arrangements per shipment.
